Your event is an extension of YOU, YOUR ESTABLISHMENT, and YOUR REPUTATION. There really is no way around that, what your patrons see an entertainment company provide directly reflects on how they remember YOU. On that note, if reputation and excellence mean nothing to you, feel free to consider many of the other options out there. For a couple of hundred dollars, maybe more, maybe less, you can find plenty of novice show providers that will set up some speakers on sticks, play some scratched up CDG's through a mediocre (at best) PA system, and count on your existing patrons to fill your seats at the shows.... Below you will see a checklist that as the owner or manager of a Club, Restaurant, or Venue you NEED to take into consideration before you make the mistake of hiring ANY other Production Service to provide quality, professional entertainment for your establishment. Hiring an entertainer for cash can be the start of an unbelieveable mess for you and your business (not to mention legal and liability issues that most part-time, amateur DJ/KJ services won't even talk about!). Another downfall is making a financial committment without any guarantees - if a given Entertainment Provider cannot guarantee specific benifits and/or revenues to You and your Company, then we can recommend several entertaining casinos that will gladly take the money you are about to throw away (and give you better odds to boot!).

BOTTOM LINE: Brew City Music is a revenue-based corporation (yes - a real live, legally registered LLC with the State of Wisconsin) that has the experience, assets, and ambition to help you stop worrying about finding good entertinment and start enjoying MAKING GOOD MONEY. While the industry has always revolved around cash payments and under-the-table dealings, it is a SERIOUS mistake for the owner of an
establishment to hire an entertainer that they cannot pay with company check (made out to a BUSINESS, not a PERSON or CASH) for at least the
first 2-3 shows.. Paying someone cash can be prearranged safely PROVIDING they first provide you with written proof of BUSINESS LICENSE or CORPORATE STATUS, EMPLOYER IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION, and a CERTIFICATE OF BONDING or LIABILITY COVERAGE... Other than that, offer your existing entertainer payment for the next 3 weeks in the form of a check made out to their COMPANY ACCOUNT - see where THAT gets you!

As the owner of an established, licensed business - well, let's face it, you know who ASCAP and BMI are. Perhaps you have inquired of your local Tavern League, maybe other bar owners, as to what these organizations mean to you....If nothing else, you DO know that your jukebox license covers you to a limited extent, but you're not sure if Karaoke counts, you don't usually have bands, etc, etc. What BREW CITY MUSIC offers is simple, whether your establishment carries ASCAP/BMI licensing or not - WE DO. Every year, we entail considerable expense to obtain EVENT-SPECIFIC licensing, saving you the troubles of having to change or correct your current status with ANY licensing organization in Wisconsin or Illinois and protecting you from prosecution, fines, or closures due to hiring BREW CITY MUSIC to provide entertainment. We do not charge extra for this service either - remember, we are a STATE REGISTERED LLC with FEDERAL EMPLOYER STATUS, (Just like you probably are, being in the liquor industry) and we do things LEGALLY and RIGHT!

(By the way, all of our entertainers carry full documentation on their person AT ALL TIMES in case that one-in-a-million inspection comes down at a show, we also provide printed HARD COPY to your establishment prior to stepping through the door for our first performance - because we CARE ABOUT YOU).

ANY entertainer who does not insist on seeing your establishments documentation OR doesn't provide you with event licensing is taking YOU and YOUR BUSINESS, YOUR ASSETS, and YOUR LEGAL STATUS (including liquor license) and SCREWING IT to make themselves a few bucks. No Excuses - NO B.S.

IF YOU HAVE auditioned your entertainers other shows, have you seen: A bar full of people who would have been there anyhow and a few dedicated singers? A person singing all alone and trying to get the existing patrons to participate? Two, maybe thre, maybe five actual PARTICIPANTS keeping the show alive? Well, in that case, congrats - you have seen Karaoke in Wisconsin. You own a bar - light a fat cigar with a hundred dollar bill (perhaps several of them) and offer the pretty face or slick suit with the microphone a job making your bar money.

All prices are inclusive of Production Costs, and we require a 3 hour minimum on all weekday shows as well as a 4 hour minimum charge on weekends. Your investment includes inclusion in our weekly Email newsletter (over 300 participants) and our monthly mailings (cloose to 200 addresses served). Production costs for a 1/4 page ad in our newsletter are included (special events and occasions involving non-BREW CITY entertainers are limited to 2 events per week).
